Our 3rd Annual Sanchez Street Block Party will be on Sunday, October 15th from 12-3 pm, between Clipper and 26th streets. Join us for an afternoon of community fun! There will be a free succulent planting bar, live music, face painting, a Zumba dance session, a Bouncy House for kids, lots of Arts & Crafts, a visit from a firetruck from Fire Station 11, and a variety of food options provided by Noe Cafe for purchase. Bethany is sponsoring along with Friends of Slow Sanchez and Noe Cafe. Gil Guillermo will be providing the Live Music. The children’s Rabbit Hole Theater will be providing entertainment for families with small children. We’ll also be joined by Primeros Pasos Preschool, St. Paul’s School, Big City Montessori School, James Lick Middle School, Folio Books, and California LGBT Tobacco Education Partnership. Representatives from the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) will be onsite to engage with the community on “Next Generation Slow Sanchez.” During this new project iteration, the SFMTA will be exploring how to improve community safety and sense of place by combining roadway safety treatments with community art and placemaking efforts — more info here about Slow Sanchez: https://www.sfmta.com/projects/sanchez-slow-street.
