Sunday Worship 10:45 to 11:45 a.m.
Bethany comes alive on Sunday morning. We begin our worship, at 10:45 a.m. with singing, practice and we go directly into a casual, interactive worship and experience of God. Each Sunday we enjoy music leadership from either our Bethany Ensemble, led by pianist Dan Johnson, or The 48i s, led by Geoff Gould, a combo and vocal band. We linger as long as we like after the service (about noon) with good food and fellowship.
We celebrate Christmas Eve with two services, one at 4:00 p.m. for families needing lots of wriggle room and one at 7:00 p.m. for more formal lessons and carols. Both are fun and involve lots of candlelight! Children are welcome at either service. We commemorate the Last Supper on Thursday before Easter with a simple soup supper and communion around the table. Call for times. Blessing of Animals takes place during worship on the second Sunday in October. All animals are welcome, assuming they are under your control and willing. If you have a not-ready-for-church pet, bring a picture, and we ll send you home with a blessing. We celebrate gay pride and our history as a Reconciling Congregation on the last Sunday in June. After worship, we enjoy a BBQ with potluck side dishes, lots of fun, and usually great weather!
