Blessing of the Animals
Join us for the annual Blessing of the Animals. In person Blessings, socially distanced, Saturday, October 3rd, 12-1 pm. Virtual Blessings, during worship service, Sunday, October 4th, 10:45 am.

Online Book Study – Wednesday’s, July 8th to August 12th
We’re excited to begin a 6 week study of James Cone’s book The Cross and the Lynching Tree — every Wednesday at 7pm, starting July 8th through August 12th. If you have never studied Cone before you are in for rich Black liberation theology that is transformative in our understanding of the Bible and our faith.We will explore a chapter a week, and it will be helpful if you read the chapter ahead of time.

Postponed: Walk to support Interfaith Winter Shelter
Please note: This event has been Postponed and will not occur on March 29th. Join Team Bethany to participate and/or fund raise for the San Francisco Interfaith Winter Shelter. Walk begins and ends at the parking circle at Lake Merced (intersection of Sunset Blvd. and Lake Merced Blvd.).

Ash Wednesday Service, February 26th, at 7 pm
Join us on Wednesday, February 26th at 7 pm for a contemplative service and the imposition of Ashes as we begin our Lenten season together. All are welcome.

Benefit Concert, CD Release – Bobby Jo Valetine, January 26th, 5 pm
Join us in welcoming Bobby Jo Sunday, January 26th, from 5-7 pm at Bethany for his CD release and benefit concert at 1270 Sanchez St in San Francisco.

Christmas Eve Services at Bethany
Join us at one of our two Christmas Eve Services. Our casual service at 4:00 pm good for those with kids, and our service of lessons and carols at 7 pm.

Bell Appeal Holiday Concert, December 8th, 5-6:30 pm
Come join us for Bell Appeal and other musical guests as we perform holiday favorites familiar and new, from “Silver Bells” and Tchaikovsky’s “Arab Dance,” to “Better Days” by the Goo Goo Dolls.

Holiday Chamber Music Recital, December 1st, 5-6:30 pm
Come join us for a Chamber Music Recital, on Sunday, December 1st from 5-6:30 pm, with performances by Ray Capiral and John Speers, other guest musicians to be announced. Works by J.S. Bach, Prokofiev, Saint-Saens, Robert Dick, and others. Reception to follow.
